Since last time
Apologies for the lack of posting of late. I've been busy and, well, not much has happened in the footballing world. Except, of course, the manic transfer speculation, which I try to avoid as much as possible.

- Grupo Televisa, the conglomerate that owns Mexico's Club America, is reportedly close to sealing a deal to buy the San Jose Earthquakes and move them to Houston.
- "How does the Bank of Bridgeview Stadium sound?" asks the Daily Southtown. That's likely to be the name of the Chicago Fire's new digs, with a reported deal "worth somewhere between $1 million and $2.4 million a year for 10 to 15 years" close to complete.
- In addition to a match against the LA Galaxy at the HDC on July 18, Real Madrid is set to line up against Chivas Guadalajara in Chicago on July 16.
- Bruce Arena's named his roster for the Gold Cup, which starts on July 7. Santino Quaranta (?!) has since replaced EJ on the roster.
- The U-20s World Cup Final is on Saturday, pitting Argentina vs. Nigeria. Here's a preview.
