The weekend round-up
- Man U has signed Fulham's Dutch 'keeper, Edwin van der Sar. A good move for the Red Devils and pretty much what I expected them to do: quality, short term cover in goal until Howard matures.
- The US trounced Costa Rica in their WCQ match, 3-0. Here's a round-up of other qualifiers around the globe from Saturday and Sunday.
- "What is it about Chelsea?" asks John Rawling in The Guardian. "If they are not yet the most loathed football club in British football, they pretty soon will be the way things are going." First there was the Ashley Cole "tapping up"; now the Blues have moved for Spurs' director of football, Frank Arnesen.
- Check out this interview with Ronaldinho from the OSM. Good read.
- I haven't been able to catch much MLS action this weekend, as usual. Here's what went down.
- ESPN has reportedly struck a new deal to air US national team matches.
